About Us

We are Chris and Debby and we have been married since 2002.  We have learned it is not possible for us to have a child on our own, so we are looking to you to offer us that opportunity.  We live in Northwest Missouri in a community of approximately 10,000 people.  We love living in a smaller community and the advantages we believe our values will offer a child.  Debby says she likes to know the kid who sacks her groceries and we both love the feel of living in a trusted and warm community.  

About Chris

Chris is 44 and works in the automotive department for United Parcel Services where he has been employed for 10 years.  He graduated from the local high school and received technical training at a local technical school.  Chris comes from a large family and was the youngest of 5 children.  His mother and step dad and 2 siblings all live in our community as well as two grown nephews who have children that will be close to our child’s age.  Chris has a passion for automobiles and especially enjoys restoring cars.  Debby first fell in love with Chris’ sense of humor and after nearly 7 years of marriage his jokes still make her laugh!

About Debby

Debby is 37 and is a guidance counselor in the local school district.  In addition to a degree in guidance counseling, Debby also has a degree in elementary education and early childhood education.  She began her career in education by teaching preschool.  Debby grew up 25 miles from where we now live.  She has two parents who still live in the home in which Debby was raised.  In addition to her parents, Debby has 1 sibling who is married with 3 children.  Her niece and nephews are great kids and we feel fortunate to be a part of their lives.  We get together often through family dinners, holidays, and traveling together for weekend get aways, family vacations and camping trips.

Our Pet

We are animal lovers and have one adored dog named Greta.  She is a miniature schnauzer and has done her best to meet our nurturing needs as only she can!  Greta is very loving and will be a wonderful pet to our child. 

Our Home

Our 3 bedroom home sits at the end of a cul de sac in an established neighborhood. Our large yard of an acre will be a wonderful place for our child to run and play.  We live within walking distance of the YMCA and the greatest park in the city.  We are Christians and attend a Methodist church.  We will raise our child in a life that is very open to the fact they were adopted and the miracle of which they came to be a part of our lives.  We feel very comfortable with an open adoption.

Holidays and Celebrations

Holidays and celebrations are welcome events in our family.  We are so fortunate to live close to both our families and feel blessed that our child will grow up with such a supportive and loving extended family.  Whether it be Easter, Christmas, Halloween trick or treating, birthday parties or 4th of July BBQ’s, one can usually find us celebrating these events with our family and friends.

In Closing
