Darren and Jessica
Dear Birthparents, Our names are Darren and Jessica. We met about six years ago and were married September 25, 2004. We live in a small town with a population of around six thousand people and are about 45 minutes away from Kansas City. It has a good school system, a lot of history, and several parks. It is a peaceful community with many friendly people. |
| After being married for a year and half, we decided we were ready to start a family. We thought things would happen naturally and it wouldn't be a big deal. After about seven months with no luck, Jessica went to see her doctor. She was tested and diagnosed with premature ovarian failure at the age of 23. We were both devastated. After some time to let things sink in and consider the fertility treatment options, we both decided that fertility treatment was not for us. We both realized that God had another plan for us....adoption! |

We can't imagine or understand what you must be going through. You have a very tough decision to make. You are a very strong and courageous person to be considering an adoption plan for your baby and for that we are grateful. We are very excited and look forward to meeting with you and discussing our future relationship and how you would like the relationship to grow. We dream of raising a child together and are very excited about the adoption process. |

About Us We each have three siblings and are both the oldest of our families. Darren is 25 years old and has two brothers and one sister, whom he is very protective of. Jessica is 26 years old and has two sisters and one brother. We both have strong Christian values and attend the church that Jessica grew up in. Both sets of our parents are very excited and look forward to being grandparents. This will be the first grandchild on both sides of our family. We also have a miniature black and white chihuahua named Daisy. She is a year old and the most spoiled little dog we know. For fun we enjoy spending time with our family and friends, camping, fishing, having family cookouts at our home, spending time together, watching movies, and taking Daisy on short walks. We look forward to including a child in our lives and to being able to take them to fun places, teach them new things, and pass on the things that our families have passed on to us. |

Jessica graduated LPN nursing school in 2002. She works full time at a local health department close to our home where she has worked since nursing school graduation. She also recently started working part time at our local small town hospital. She plans on quitting her part time job when we do adopt.

About Jessica by Darren Jess is the most warm-hearted person I have ever met. She is kind, sweet, and loves to give a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I guess that's why she chose the profession she is in. She is a very hard worker and always has a smile on her face with a great attitude about life. It's hard to imagine that we have been married for four years. The years have flown by so quickly. Jess will be the perfect parent. When we baby sit for our friends’ children, I love to watch her play with the them - her face just glows and she is so happy. |

About Darren by Jessica Darren is very sweet, kind, caring, and a wonderful man. He is a great husband, and I believe he will be an even better father. He loves to help people and would do anything for you. He also loves to be outdoors and can't wait to teach a child all the things his father has taught him. I love the way his eyes light up when he makes a child laugh, and I can only imagine the endless possibilities with a child of our own. |
