We talked about adopting even before we were married. We are thrilled that you are even taking the time to consider us as parents for your child. We realize that this is a very important decision for you, and we can only hope that what we can share about ourselves will help to lessen your concerns.

Our home is filled with an abundance of love and laughter and we cannot wait to share that with a child. When we decided that it was time to expand our family, we expected that it would happen like most, through pregnancy. After we learned that having a child, biologically, was not going to happen, we knew immediately that adoption was the path meant for us.

More than anything, we want you to know how much we will unconditionally love your baby. It is the very least we can do to prove the respect we have for the selfless choice you are considering for your child and admiration we have for you by putting your faith in our family. Just knowing that you are reading our letter is exciting because it may mean the beginning of our family's answered prayers!

About Us

Kristi (26 years old) and Dustin (28 years old) have been married for two and half years and live in a three bedroom house with their golden retriever, Ceaser. The house is located in a suburb of Kansas City. Within walking distance is a huge park, with playground equipment, baseball fields and soccer fields, where Dustin and Kristi plan on spending many hours as a family. Dustin and Kristi love living life together and are very excited to welcome a child into their family.

Dustin

Dustin is a software engineer for a large firm and loves anything to do with technology. Growing up on a large farm in western Kansas, Dustin was able to experience many things. He loves animals and spends time each day playing with Ceaser. When Dustin was a child he loved to ride his bike, play with match box cars, and do anything outside. He looks forward to doing these things with our child. Dustin had a very close relationship with his Grandma, as she was one of their only neighbors on the farm. He loved going to her house after school for her homemade baking.

Kristi

Kristi is a special education teacher in a large school district and works with students on the Autism Spectrum. She is currently working on her doctoral degree from a local university. Kristi is the youngest of three children and is very close to her family. Growing up, Kristi was very active. In high school, Kristi played golf, basketball, volleyball and track. Kristi still loves being active, whether it’s going for a walk outside with their golden retriever or helping Dustin complete a project on the house. Kristi is looking forward to taking summers off to spend extra special time with her children. Going for walks, reading books, and doing crafts are all things Kristi looks forward to doing with her children.

Family

Dustin and Kristi aren’t the only ones excited to meet their children. Our extended families are beyond ecstatic. Kristi’s family lives in town and are so excited to spend time with their grandchildren. The family’s weekends are always filled with going to soccer games, basketball events, kite flying, sledding, or any number of other activities with Kristi’s six nieces and nephews. Kristi’s dad often sends supporting text messages about being excited to be a grandpa again. Dustin’s parents live in western Kansas are excited to be grandparents for the first time. They would love to show their new grandchild all the joys of farm life. What child wouldn’t love going to visit grandma and grandpa and see all the animals and tractors on their farm?
