Hello! We are Greg and Melanie. We have been together almost 16 years and have been married for 10 ½ years. We are at the point in our lives that we feel it is time to add a child and to become parents. We have an extremely supportive extended family, group of friends and a wonderful home. We know that we can provide a stable and loving home for a child and have a deep desire to become parents!

Greg

Greg is 46 years old and grew up in North Kansas City.  He is very outgoing and friendly; he has never met a stranger.  He currently is working in sales.  He works for the Darby Group, which sells printing and also is a car broker.  Greg is the middle child of three.  He has an older brother and a younger sister.  Greg is definitely the organizer for get togethers with family and friends.  He enjoys spending time with our niece and nephew and our friends’ children.  He is an awesome uncle; always looking for ways to get the children laughing (from his silly sense of humor) and playing together (from his still being a kid at heart himself).  His qualities of having fun and enjoying life will make him an incredible father.

Melanie

Melanie is 44 years old and grew up in Smithville.
 Melanie is more of an observer and enjoys being with her family and friends.  She has an undergraduate degree in Education and a Master of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis in Behavior Disorders.  She has taught for NKC school district for more that 20 years.  Currently, she teaches Early Childhood Special Education, working with children ages 3, 4, & 5 who have special needs.  Melanie is compassionate, patient, and loves working with children.  These qualities plus her background in education will make her a wonderful mother, Her desire to be a mom has grown as she found the love and companionship of Greg.  She knows how important family and love is to a child and is ready to freely give that of herself.

After we got married, we established our home in Gladstone, MO.  We lived there 8 years.   We built our new house two years ago in Kansas City.  While building the house you name it anything and everything that could go wrong DID.  This was definitely the most stressful time that we have experienced as a couple, but we survived and our relationship has grown because of it! 

Our Home

We have a beautiful, ranch style home with an open floor plan.  We live in a new subdivision with lots of children.  The elementary school is practically in our backyard and a new high school is currently being built.  Since our move, we enjoy inviting friends and family over to have dinner, (usually to bar-b-que) and to spend time on our screened in porch just to visit and catch up! The only thing missing is a child.

We want to thank you for reading our profile.  We absolutely can not wait to be parents to a special child.  We believe that being parents is the most important job a couple can have and the most rewarding.  We look forward to sharing this incredible journey with a child.  We can only imagine how overwhelming and difficult this decision must be.  That is why we want you to know how much we respect your decision, and want you to have as much contact as you feel that you and your family need to help you be at ease with your decision.  Please know that we welcome not only the baby into our lives but you as well if that is what you desire.
