About Us

Jerry and I first met in October of 2000. His sister Nicky set us up on a blind date. It was love at first site. I knew from our first date that this was the man I would spend the rest of my life with. We dated for the next couple months and we were married the next summer in June of 2001. Once we began dating Jerry introduced me to his 4 year old daughter Sara. Jerry had been in a previous relationship which blessed him with a wonderful daughter. Once Jerry and I were married the three of us began our life together. Then in October of 2010, when Sara was 14 years old, I was blessed with the opportunity to adopt her. I have always told everyone it was fate for us to be together and it has been the best ten years of our lives. After being married for three years we began to pursue having another child; we soon realized that this would not be an easy task. After years of fertility issues we decided to pursue adoption as the way to grow our family. We would love to have a new addition to our family. As a family we enjoy taking vacations together and seeing new things and places. Jerry would like to travel by train and visit Alaska. Charlotte would like to go to Disney Land, and swim with the dolphins, and visit Hawaii. We love to spend and celebrate the holidays with our family and friends.

About Jerry

Jerry is 36 years old and was born in a small town in southeast Missouri. Jerry has two siblings, an older brother, and a younger sister. Jerry graduated technical college in 1995 with a degree in Automotive Technology. Jerry was the first member of his family to go to college. He currently works for a local dealership where he has been employed for the past 16 years. Jerry has also received many honors for his excellence in performance and service while being employed with the dealership. He is an outdoors man through and through and he enjoys hunting, fishing, home improvement, and farming.

About Charlotte

Charlotte is 33 years old and was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She is the older of two siblings. Charlotte graduated from high school in 1997 and moved to Missouri in the spring of 1998. Charlotte stayed at home with Sara while she took college classes. Then in 2007 she graduated college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Charlotte currently teaches 3rd grade at our local elementary school where she has been employed for the past seven years five of which have been teaching 3rd grade. During her free time she enjoys shopping, dining out, dancing on the WII, and having family game/movie nights. This summer she began taking piano lessons.

About Sara

Hi, I am Sara and I'm 15 years old. At school I am actively involved in band where I play the clarinet. Next year I want to try out for the color guard. This past summer I was selected as a Missouri State Finalist in the National American Miss Pageant and went to Columbia, Missouri to compete among other state finalists. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to school dances, and going to church activities. At home, I enjoy working with my animals, and I hope to get a horse very soon. I am very excited to be a big sister and be able to play with them and teach them new things.

Our Dog Charlie

Charlie is a brown and white four year old Australian Shepherd. He is a 50lb dog who thinks he is a lap dog. Charlie is playful and energetic to say the least. He has been to obedience school and knows a few tricks. He is very smart and someday I think it would be a lot of fun to put him in agility classes.

Our Home

In August of 2008, we purchased 50 acres just outside the city limits of the town Jerry grew up in. In November of 2009, we completed construction on Jerry's garage which is where we lived until we finished construction of our home in May 2011. Even though we enjoy all the benefits of living in the country, our local hospital, family doctor, city park, and the school where I teach are less than ten minutes away. Looking back now it was a lot of hard work that was well worth it as we enjoy life in our new home.
