Hello! Our names are Jim and Lindsey. Thank you for taking time to consider us as potential adoptive parents. We are both 30 years old. We have been together since we met at work in 2004. We both work downtown for a mutual fund transfer agent. Jim deals in accounting and Lindsey works in customer service. We have been happily married since May 2007. We are looking to develop our family through love, support, and adoption. Lindsey is looking forward to staying at home to take care of our baby and we are both ready to devote a lot of time and love to a child.

About Jim (written by Lindsey)

One of the first opinions I formed about Jim is that he would be a fantastic dad! He is so thoughtful, funny, and happy! Jim graduated from college with a degree in Human Development and Family Life. He is just such a great family-man. He loves to cook on the grill, watch sports, and play softball with his friends. He is a good friend, a caring son, and a great husband. He has been such a light in my life. I look forward to seeing him every morning when I wake up and talking with him before we go to bed. I still think my first impression of him was true… he is going to be a fantastic dad!

About Lindsey (written by Jim)

Lindsey is the most loving, caring person I have ever met. This is why I think she will be a great mother. She has this great ability to make you feel very special. She does little things to make my day better, and also plans big surprises for my birthday. We now have 4 nephews and a niece! Our nephews and niece are always excited when aunt Lindsey comes to visit. She is great with them and loves to play and have fun! She is someone you can always lean on when you need her. As a wife, she is the best thing to ever happen to me. She makes every day great. I love her very much and can’t wait to have a family with her!

About Tira (Written by Jim and Lindsey)

Tira is a 9 year old Italian greyhound/ lab mix. She looks like a lab puppy. Lindsey rescued Tira 7 years ago from an abusive home. She was very scared of people at first. But, after some time, thoughtful attention, and lots of treats she is the sweetest dog in the world. She loves to jump in our bed on Saturday mornings and she is a snuggler! She loves playing with our nephews, watching sports with Jim (because he will pet her tons!) and taking naps with Lindsey. We feel so blessed to have her in our family.

Our Interests

We love to travel. We enjoy taking vacations, going on trips to Oklahoma to visit Lindsey’s family, spending weekends at the lake, going to California to visit Jim’s brother, visiting Colorado in the summer, and getting to the beach as often as we can! We just love to get away as a couple and with the whole family.

Some other things we enjoy doing together are going to baseball games, going on walks with our dog, cooking, watching our favorite T.V. shows, swimming in the summer, and snowball fights in the winter. We have a lot of fun together!

When we are at home, we are most likely spending time with friends and family. We like having people over, making dinner, and having game night! We love our home and feel most comfortable when we are there, together.

About Our Family

We both come from big families. Our families are very supportive of our decision to adopt and excited for us to experience being parents! We cannot wait for the day when we will have a new addition to our little family (Lindsey, Jim, and Tira). This child will not only have amazing aunts, uncles, and grandparents, but; also lots of cousins around their age to play with! We are very blessed to come from close knit families.

In Conclusion

We have always known we want to have children. Now we know that the way we are going to build our family is through open adoption. We are excited and overwhelmed with this experience and understand that you must be too. We can’t imagine what you must be going through, but we admire the decision you have made.
