Richard and Anna
| Hello, Our names are Richard and Anna. We met in 1994 and wed in 1997. We also have two children. Nate is four years old and Paige is two. We believe that siblings are a critical part of a happy childhood. Rich is one of five children, all close in age, and Anna has one sister. Our favorite childhood memories are of experiences shared with our brothers and sisters. As adults we find ourselves very lucky to have a built-in support system of aunts, uncles and cousins for our children. We are very close and would love to share that unconditional love with another child. |

About Richard (by Anna) Richard is 38 years old and works as a law enforcement officer. I always knew he would be a wonderful father, but even I could have never guessed how good he would be at it! It is so cute for me to watch this big tough officer changing diapers, cooking grilled cheese sandwiches, folding laundry, or chasing Nate down the street on his bicycle. Richard stays home with the kids during the day while I work so we do not have to use child care. He always goes above and beyond when it comes to his children. The great thing is that he is not just a Dad but also my best friend! He also enjoys his job and has made a reputation for himself in our small community as being a compassionate, caring individual. |
| About Anna (by Richard) Anna is 33 years old and works in Communications at the same department I work in. Anna is an exceptional mother and also has become quite adept at being a translator for our two year old. She is more than a mother, being a friend and companion to our children. Anna excels at caring for and nurturing Nate and Paige. I know we have room in our home for more children and Anna has more than enough room in her heart. |

About Our Children Nate is an outgoing, active four year old boy. He joined our family through open adoption in 2002. He has recently discovered video games and is quite good at them for his age. He likes to ride his bike and is really into anything “army” right now. He will start pre-K this year at the school a couple of blocks from our home. Paige is a bubbly, friendly two year old who loves her baby dolls and playing with our little dog George. She joined our family in 2004 through adoption as well. They are both excited about the prospect of a new baby brother or sister. |
| About Pets I had to include something about our pets; they are a part of our family, too, after all! Tank is a two year old American Bulldog. He is such a sweetheart. He loves the kids and sleeps at the foot of Paige’s bed. George is a three year old Schnoodle. (I think that is Latin for “crazy little dog”.) He is the comic relief of our family. We poke fun at him a lot, but we love him dearly. Our cat’s name is Mr. Kitty. Her favorite activity is harassing George. We also have two fish aquariums, two cockatiels, Allie and Squeak, along with a teeny tiny turtle we call Crush. |

Home/Neighborhood We live in a small town with a population of about 2,500, two blocks from the school, park, and swimming pool. Our home is situated near the end of a dead end street on an acre lot. We have pecans, apples, walnuts, mulberries, and grapes in the backyard. There is plenty of room for the swing set and swimming pool in the back yard too! The kids are looking forward to helping pick out décor for a nursery! |
