Hello, we are Travis and Kari. We are excited for the opportunity to become adoptive parents and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us. We know what a difficult decision you are making and we know that you love this child more than anything. This baby would grow up knowing that you are one of the strongest, most loving people we have ever met. We know that God makes no mistakes, and our children will know that our union as a family was and is in His will. We can't wait to meet you so that we can begin to build our lifelong relationship.

About Us

We met in college through a mutual friend. Travis played basketball all four years of college while I was a member of the dance team. We knew within the first month of knowing each other that we wanted to spend our lives together. We were engaged for 8 months and married on June 20, 2009. Our relationship is full of love, laughter, and lots of long conversations about our future family. We have always wanted multiple children, so it was disheartening when we weren't able to conceive. After multiple failed fertility treatments, we are beyond excited to pursue our family through adoption.

Travis is an elementary teacher and basketball coach, so his schedule is very conducive for raising children. I am an x-ray technologist at a local doctors office, and plan to reduce my hours as soon as we are blessed with a baby. We own a 2 bedroom house with a fenced in back yard. We have already begun filling our spare bedroom with baby-things in anticipation of our loved one joining our family.

We are a very active couple. We enjoy gardening, riding horses, attending sporting events, and spending time with our dogs. We have lots of close friends and family whom we regularly have over for dinner and games. We are known as "Uncle Travis" and "Aunt Kari" to our friends' children.

Travis and I greatly value our families and our time with them. We both grew up in small communities, which we loved. Travis grew up in a house in the country with lots of animals and open spaces. Both of our families are very active in our lives and will only be more involved once we have a child. My parents have already purchased some baby items, and Travis' dad has built us a cradle in anticipation of our growing family. You can rest assured that this baby will be loved beyond measure and cherished deeply by every member of our family.

Travis is the most loving, gentle, and kind man I have ever met. He has a passion for the outdoors, he is a hard worker, and he would do anything for his family and his students. He is a man's man with a gentle heart. Travis has a goofy side that not many people are lucky enough to see. He can always make me smile. I haven't seen Travis in the role of a father yet, but I have seen him interact with his students and children within our family. He truly has a gift when it comes to children. I have never once doubted his ability to be a truly exceptional father. He has a sincerity about him that I think the people around him can sense. It's one of the many things I love about him. I hope and pray that his gentle and loving spirit is expressed in these photos, because I know if you knew him, you would love him too.

About Kari (written by Travis)

Kari is the type of person that has dreamed of being a mother since she was a young girl. Her passion for becoming a mother is one of the many things that I love about her so much. She is nurturing, loving, driven, and would do anything for the people she cares about. She has a knack for making our house a home. Kari has a wonderful sense of humor and can always make me laugh. She has strength about her that I know she will instill into our children. I can see her love for children when she is with our nephew or our friends' children. She loves all kids and has all the instincts a mother would have. She is an amazing wife and I have no doubt she will be an even greater mother.

Pets

We have two dogs, Max and Zoe. Max is a Jack Russell Terrier, and Zoe is a Border Collie. They are very active dogs that love people and going for walks. Zoe especially loves to play and interact with children. They both have been great family pets. We also have two horses named Little Joe and Jackie. We enjoy spending time with them and riding during the warmer months of the year.
