Butch and Billie We have been married now for 4 years. We live in Olathe with our two boxers, black lab, and kitty cat. We also have two daughters from Butch’s previous marriage that are with us every other week. We are very family oriented and extremely active in the girls’ lives. Cal and Jamey Hello! We are Cal, Jamey, and Kylie from O’Fallon, Missouri. We are so pleased that you are taking time to read about our adoption dreams. We greatly admire your consideration of open adoption. The birth of our daughter showed us the beauty of open adoption and we firmly believe it is the most positive way for us to complete our family. Being able to share the history of Kylie’s birthparents with her is very important to us. Charles and Michela Hello, we are Charles and Michela. We have known each other for eleven years and were married September 15, 2007. We knew for a long time that we were not able to have a baby and were interested in adoption before we were even married. Our faith and love for each other has led us to this chapter in our lives. We are so excited to experience this wonderful journey and truly believe now having a baby the natural way would not be as rewarding to us as this process. We feel adoption will bring us a miracle and we can also help another person succeed in life.

Darren and Jessica Our names are Darren and Jessica. We met about six years ago and were married September 25, 2004. We live in a small town with a population of around six thousand people and are about 45 minutes away from Kansas City. It has a good school system, a lot of history, and several parks. It is a peaceful community with many friendly people.

Doug and Jamie Hello, we are Doug and Jamie both 31 years old. We met in 2001 and were happily married in 2004. After being married about a year, we decided to try and start a family. To make a long story short, things have not gone exactly as planned. We made the decision together, not to undergo fertility treatments. We have known since we met each other that we would like to have a family; and it seems that adoption will finally make our dreams of becoming parents a reality. We loved the excitement we had when we were pregnant with James, but because of an unexpected surgery Karen needed, future pregnancies are not possible. After about a year of marriage, we made the decision to try and start a family, as both of us had always dreamt of being parents. Rich and Dana Let us tell you a little about ourselves. Our names are Rich (36) and Dana (35). We met 16 years ago when mutual friends introduced us and we started working together. We dated for five years and then were married 11 years ago. We waited a couple of years and then began trying to have children. We tried the natural way for a couple of years and then started seeing a fertility doctor. After six years of working with a fertility doctor we have learned that we are part of a small percentage of people who are not able to have children. We want a child to love and share our lives with which has brought us to adoption. |
