Hi! We are Rachel and Dave,
and we are so excited to start our family! Thank you for taking the time to read through our profile, and see if we can be a right fit for your adoption plan.
Our hearts go out to you as you decide what the best fit for your baby and family will be, and we pray you will find peace in your decision. It truly takes strength to make an adoption plan, and we commend you for that. We don’t know you yet, but we have been praying for you for a very long time. Thank you for considering us for an open adoption for your baby!
Dave grew up in Kansas City, and loved it so much he never left. He has lived here his entire life and is excited to raise his own kids here as well someday. Everyone knows him as “Big Dave”, and I have never met anyone that has a single bad thing to say about him. Everywhere we go, someone knows Dave, and makes a point to come talk to us. It really warms my heart and gives me a sense of pride to be his wife when they all address me personally with how much they love him and how great of a guy he is. I couldn’t agree more! From the moment we met, I knew he was something special, and he continues to amaze me everyday with his strength, compassion, kindness, generosity, passion, and leadership. I cannot imagine anyone better fit for me, or anyone that I would rather have leading our family. I thank the good Lord above for blessing me with Dave. I am so excited to see him as a father. Dave was adopted as a young child, and I wholeheartedly believe that he will have a special bond with our children because of it. He is so good with kids from babies, all the way up through teenagers, and I’ve seen him have such an impact on the kids he’s mentored through the years. He is going to be the best dad. Dave is a middle school Special Education Teacher, and coaches football and baseball at the high school level. His passion for guiding, mentoring, and looking out for the underdog is what will make him the dad everyone wants to have. I love him with all my heart, and I pray you will as well!
I walked through this world for 36 years on my own, and really never thought I would need anyone else in my life besides my family and friends. However, January 1, 2014 God changed my plans forever, and it is the greatest gift I have ever received. I met Rachel online through a dating website "Christian Mingle", and from the moment we started talking, I knew she was something special, and something I needed to hang onto with all my might. She continues to be a blessing as a wife to me every single day. The way she cares about me and others is like nothing I have seen before. She always puts me before herself, and I still don't know how I got this lucky. Rachel also loves children, which is evident by her career. She is a Physical Education teacher, as well as a high school volleyball and track coach. It is no secret that Rachel was a great athlete in college, which includes her being a 4 time All American in Shot Put, but that doesn't tell the story of who she is. Her passion is reaching young people, guiding them in the ways of being an upright human being. She has even started a girls group at the middle school she teaches at, which is designed to help young ladies become more confident, and to help improve their way of life. All that being said, and as great an athlete, teacher, and coach Rachel is, the one thing I know she would excel most at is being a mom. Rachel was born to be a mother, and I can't wait to see her in that role. I know our children will be in good hands, because they will be raised by God loving parents who will see to it that the important things in life are instilled in them, namely God, family, hard work, passion, and most of all love.
We met online through Christian Mingle when Rachel was living up in Iowa and Dave was living in Kansas City. We drove back and forth every weekend to see each other for the first five months of our relationship, and then Rachel made the move down to Kansas City to be closer to Dave. We have been married for two and a half years, and are excited to start a family. Adoption has been on both of our hearts since we were young, and we feel so blessed we found a partner that shared that desire. We both love God, sports, boating, fishing, and spending time with family. We have prayed for a long time for direction on when and how to pursue an adoption plan, and we feel blessed by the path we have been given. We continue to pray daily for guidance, for our future child, and for the expectant parents that will bring him or her into this world. We are excited for the future and what it may bring.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile, and for considering us to raise your child. We are looking forward to sharing more information with you...anything you would like to know, please just ask. We wish you many blessings on your journey!
