Dear Birth Parent(s),
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my letter! I know you are facing a difficult decision and I believe in my heart that God will lead you to make the right one for you and your child. I hope you feel loved and supported no matter where you are in your journey. Please know that I have been praying for you and your sweet baby throughout your pregnancy, and for God to fill you with peace in whatever decision you make. If you decide to choose me and make an adoption plan, I want to assure you that I promise to respect you and whatever level of openness and contact that you want to have with your child. I promise to cherish and love him or her with all my heart and soul, and to provide a safe and happy home and a life filled with every opportunity possible.
I was born in St. Louis, MO to my two loving parents, Jim and Jeanne. I have 3 siblings: my older sister Lynn, older brother Jimmy, and younger sister, Jenny Lee. I grew up in St. Louis until the age of 10 and then my father’s job moved us to Omaha, NE. I was a very active child. I loved participating in sports like soccer, swimming, softball, tennis, and golf. I kept my parents pretty busy with all of my activities. I attended high school at a small, all girls Catholic School, Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. After high school, I attended Saint Louis University and earned my bachelor’s degree in English. From college I moved to Kansas City, Mo to earn my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Rockhurst University. I have enjoyed working with children ages birth to 5 years with communication disorders for the past 17 years. I work for the Parkhill School District and absolutely love my job. I find it so fulfilling to be able to help children reach their potential. I live in Leawood, Kansas and feel like I’m in the perfect place to take care of and raise a child. It’s an adorable area with lots of trees and older homes. It’s centrally located and close to parks, restaurants, movie theaters, and lots of shopping. I also have a great support system with both my family and friends.
